Kelly is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness
Instructor who believes her passion for teaching exercise stems from her love
of acting as a child. After years of taking lots of different fitness
classes she decided that what she really wanted was to be in front of the room
instead of a participant. She’s been
teaching in the DC area now for over 15 years and loves working out in a group
setting. She believes that cross
training is great for improving fitness levels and minimizing any boredom so she
works hard to mix it up and create challenging workouts while focusing on
safety and injury prevention.
Kelly grew up in Buffalo, NY. She received a B.A. in Mathematics from the
State University of New York at Fredonia, and then went on to achieve a B.S. in
Industrial Engineering from the University of Buffalo. Upon completing her degrees she relocated to
the DC area looking for a change. She
began working as a consultant for various firms and has worked on a number of
large and small scale Government initiatives.
In 2000 she decided to round out her skills and earned an M.B.A. from
the University of Maryland. Soon after
she met her fabulous husband Bryan and decided to make Arlington home.
Five years ago she switched to a part time schedule after
having her first child. Today she
maintains her schedule as a part time consultant for the Federal Government (in
the areas of organizational behavior, communication, IT and process
improvements), a fitness instructor/personal trainer, a wife and a mother of
three. She appreciates the challenges that
come with balancing priorities and knows that exercise is central in achieving
that balance!
She is thrilled to be a part of the FIT 4 MOMS team and looks
forward to working with such an extraordinary group of women.
